Automation Developer

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops test scripts utilizing Ruby/Watir. Develops a testing strategy from available technical documentation Implements automated tests which are modular and reusable; Follows established guidelines and interprets policies.

  • No daily supervision required — Ability to implement the solution by own once the requirements are clear.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of solid programming/development experience with Ruby/C++/Java. UI automation development experience with Ruby and Watir is plus.
  • 2-4 years quality assurance experience (preferred).
  • Strong analyzing and problem solving skills, Ability to capture requirements and come with the appropriate solutions and various design approaches.
  • Provide the technical leadership for the complex problems/ scenarios.
  • Hands on experience with version control tools, project configurations and releases.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and best practices.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent programming experience.

Automation Framework Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for a looking for automation developer. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and passionate about creating automation test infrastructures and test suites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Designs and Develops automated test framework libraries using Ruby and Watir to enable rapid script development.
  • Designs and implements supporting test tools/ utilities /addins to enable end to end automated solution. Develops supporting batch files and/or shell scripts.
  • Develops and executes end to end test scenarios and/or smoke tests in the nightly fashion and related report generations.
  • Leverages automation code to assist stress testing and capture performance statistics. As needed works as a liaison between performance and QA teams.
  • Debugs through the application logs and databases to narrow down and trouble shoot product/automation issues.
  • Performs code coverage analysis. Participates actively in the design and code review meetings. Advocates the standard software development processes and guidelines.
  • Accurately estimates project schedule tasks, Applies a subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues.
  • Does not require day to day supervision and has ability to come devise tasks for him/her self once the requirements are made clear.
  • Coordinates work with other engineers as necessary, mentors junior members of the team, effectively communicates issues, solutions and/or views to the team.

Instructional Designer

Position Overview

Planview is currently looking for an experienced, motivated, Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team as we grow our internal and customer-facing training programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to determine overall training strategies using formal instructional methodology
  • Design curriculum paths and training content (for both customer-facing and internal training programs)
  • Act as instructional designer and writer of curriculum (to include standard deliverables: Performance Objectives, Design Documents, Storyboards, Assessments, Decision Paths, Participant Materials, Facilitator Materials, PowerPoint presentations, Job Aids, supplemental handouts)
  • Actively engage with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of content and relevance to targeted audience, while ensuring materials are technically and instructionally sound and consistent with the team's instructional design philosophies. This includes the following:
    • Assessing and interpreting customer and employee needs to determine appropriate design direction
    • Evaluating target audience needs and establishing related courseware objectives and instructional goals
    • Developing instructional materials appropriate to meet learning objectives
    • Working with the internal training manager, E-Learning manager, and director of Education and Training Services to determine deployment strategies
  • Proactively suggest alternative approaches, bring innovative ideas to bear, and keep up with the latest technology and techniques for designing and developing training modules.

Skills & Experience

  • A bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in designing curriculum paths and training modules, preferably for a software or technology-based company
  • Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and reliable
  • Ability to think logically and creatively
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing training support materials in variety of formats and media
  • Ability to break down complex concepts and processes into component parts

Senior C#/.NET developer for our Interoperability Team

Position Overview

The Interoperability Team is responsible for integrating our best-of-breed products with external products and/or data sources and sinks. These integrations are being done using both generic Web Services and specific API's. The Interoperability Team is the development team responsible for our recently-announced OpenSuite product.

This position requires:

  • Five or more years commercial OOP experience
  • Three or more years commercial C#/.NET experience
  • Significant experience designing and developing Web Service and programmatic API's
  • BSCS with MSCS preferred

BPM (Business Process Manager) is a highly graphical business process and workflow product. This product is written in J2SE Java and has a very significant Swing GUI. We are looking for someone to be responsible for all Swing aspects of the product as well as to work closely with the server-side developers and architects.

Position Overview
At Planview, a Senior Software Developer reports to a Software Development Manager and is responsible for design and development of complex, Web-based software products. The development environment is ASP/.NET and C#/.NET.

Education/Experience
The Senior Software Developmer must be able to hit the ground running and contribute very quickly in a fast-paced environment.
