Planview Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2007 IT Project and Portfolio Management Applications Magic Quadrant

BOSTON, MA — June 20th, 2007 — Planview, Inc., the leading independent provider of comprehensive IT portfolio management solutions, announced today that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the leaders quadrant in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management1. The annual report helps categorize vendors and assess product and service offerings within project and portfolio management. According to Gartner, the project and portfolio management (PPM) market has grown rapidly and morphed since mid-2006.

"As the independent leader in IT PPM, Planview continues to deliver the most comprehensive IT management platform on the market today. Our solutions provide the visibility and knowledge to help our customers make better decisions around IT strategies, projects, services and applications," said Patrick Durbin, founder and chief executive officer of Planview, Inc. "We are proud to be positioned in the leaders quadrant in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management, 2007."

To determine the PPM leaders, Gartner conducted surveys and vendor briefings, reviewed product demonstrations, spoke with vendor references, and ultimately positioned the PPM vendors based on their "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision." Vendors were evaluated based on key categories including product/service, viability, track record, customer experience, operations, marketing, sales and offering strategy, business model, innovation, and geographic strategy.

"Planview has seen significant, positive change in the last year, especially with the acquisition of Business Engine. As we combine the technology assets of Business Engine with Planview, we will continue to innovate and best equip our customers to drive fact-based decisions and organizational process change within IT departments and across the enterprise," continued Durbin.
